HOW TO RUN A VOLUNTEER MINI PROJECT

Client: DZS (Dům zahraniční spolupráce)
Art direction: orange5
Graphic design: Hedvika Člupná (orange5)

Dům zahraniční spolupráce prepared a manual on how to run a volunteer project as an European Solidarity Corps’ Volunteer with some practical information, but also examples of projects done by volunteers in past years.

1. Idea Proposal
In this project, I wrote down few ideas before I started sketching and shared it with the client. These ideas received fast approval, so we got on the right track even before the drawing started! We also decided on the color palette at this point.

2. Sketches
I started with some hand-drawn sketches of ideas we agreed upon with the client, and since they were already approved, I was confident to proceed with full-color illustrations.
3. First drafts
This time my first drafts actually became final illustrations with only minor changes, and this project ended smoothly as it started. I did offer some variants to the client to choose from, which I usually do in step 2.
In addition to the six smaller illustration, I also created fullpage opening illustration.
Thanks for watching!
