Founded by Pastor Sheila R. Vitale over three decades ago, Living Epistles Ministries is a Christian teaching organization that publishes unique translations of the Bible, including multimedia products ranging from electronic books to videos. Recently, Living Epistles Ministries transcribed the sermon that Pastor Vitale gave at the New York Conference of Atlah World Missionary Church. In her sermon, Pastor Vitale revealed that, in spite of what many people think, Christians do not have the Mind of Christ.
Apostle Paul says in the King James Translation that Christians have access to the Mind of the Spirit. They have access to it but do not have it yet. The Mind of Christ comes as a result of pursuing God with all of one’s strength in the Holy Spirit. It is the fruit of continuously pursuing God. Before that, a person is a carnal human being. This is a step in the process of maturation. The person must grow into Christ.
But growing into Christ is an involved process. It is not just reading the Scripture. It is about changing as a person. The person must let the Word in so that it changes them.
As it stands, the soul of man is unrighteous and wicked. This carnal mind must be dismantled so that the Mind of Christ can possess a person. It must die for Christ to live in the person. In the New Testament, John the Baptist said, “I must decrease so that He can increase.”
The Lord wants to give Christians a New Mind. When they read the Scripture and let it inside them to change them, they will receive a New Mind so that when God destroys the sinful mind, they will survive.
