SIKAP—or Synergizing Recovery Initiatives, Knowledge, and Adaptation Practices for MSMEs—is PDRF’s unified resilience hub created to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) bounce forward to the “next normal”. SIKAP provides information on the latest available loans, programs, and online events specifically for MSMEs in the Philippines and also offers mentorship opportunities for MSMEs provided by industry leaders and experts. 

SIKAP is made possible in partnership with Connecting Business Initiative (CBi), United Nations OCHA Philippines, the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation and United Nations Development Programme Philippines.

“Lakbay SIKAP: Forging Resilience for MSMEs” is a virtual launch that will introduce various initiatives geared towards MSME resilience through multi-hazard disruptions. Learn about some important tools, resources, and programs offered by industry leaders and experts from both the public and private sectors.

Objectives:

The session will help the participants understand the importance of disaster preparedness in building resilience of MSMEs in the Philippines. More specifically, it will: 

(1) Present the results of the MSME Recovery Project; 

(2) Share experience and perception of MSME stakeholders on the SME Recovery Project; and 

(3) Provide next steps on how the project can support MSME support.
