Better Homes & Garden Redesign

This project centered around a redesign for a popular magazine. In many ways I was limited with how “outside the box” I could be because at the heart of this magazine is a very specific demographic that has come to recognize the general style of this magazine through its many years of production.

When considering a Holiday rendition of the magazine, I wanted to maintain a contemporary feel to any architectual images, While giving a nuanced modern look to how the Christmas, or holiday seasons, are celebrated. For this magazine edition I went with the red santa stockings on a modern fireplace. 

For this cover and index, I used Adobe Photoshop almost entirely. For the title, I rebuilt it in Illustrator to assist in any resizing that might result in picture quality lost.
