The Challenge
In this challenge, I combined type, color, content, form, and image into a single unified piece: an exhibit catalogue for an artist or designer of your choice, held in the museum/gallery my choice.

The Solution
I chose to create a catalogue presented by the Pace Gallery in New York based of off artist Stephen McMennamy’s ongoing series titled #Combophotos. I created a grid system that is unique, yet provides a sense of balance like that of the wacky compositions that McMennamy puts together. The spreads are roughly symmetrical in order to reflect on the continual nature of McMennamy’s compositions, transitioning from one image to another. For the typography, I paired a modernesque serif, Orpheus Pro, with Neue Haas Grotesk, a sans serif, in order to provide playful headers with well organized text to heighten those ideals in the works presented.
