5IVE SENSE Kopi Experience

FINAL YEAR PROJECT

Over the last few years, many hipster cafes popping up in Singapore have managed to pull in crowds of gen z and millennials with their trendy and instagram-able food and drinks.
Because of this, traditional local coffee(kopi) and coffee shops (kopitiams) have to compete with these third-wave cafes, and their own unique specialties, to stay a float for years and years to come.

Solution
To promote the appreciation of the unique techniques and flavours present in kopi making and how we can mimic that at home, ultimately getting them to patronise local kopi stalls more often when they are out and about.

Proposed Concept
5ive Sense is an interactive experience kit aimed to utilise our five senses to appreciate traditional local kopi. Focused on creating a fun and hands on way to fall in love with traditional kopi, the kit includes a set of activity cards and basic kopi making materials for making kopi at home.

With the slow decline in demand for traditional kopi, this project aims to get the young adults of Singapore to appreciate the unique techniques and flavours present in kopi making. Let’s show our sock masters some love!
