There are different kinds of epileptic seizures from medical perspectives. Doctors categorize them according to their origin, effect, extent, degree of severity and various other factors, and conduct the required epilepsy treatment. It is useful to know about these classifications. 

One of the seizure varieties is known as simple partial. It is also termed as focal seizure. Only a specific part of your brain is the zone of origin for this variety of epilepsy. There is a severe alteration of your emotions due to this disease. Other kinds of physical sensations such as smell or taste could alter, too.

The illness is signaled with involuntary jerking of your different body parts, especially limbs. There could be a sever feeling of dizziness, too. The illness is also marked by a blurry vision.

There is also another variety of focal seizure that is of complex partial nature. There is a total lack of any kind of consciousness in this variety. When you suffer from this, you could stare blankly for a long period. Your reaction or response to the surrounding is no prompt and normal. There could also be instances in which you do repetitive movements without any objective, such as rubbing your hands, or walking constantly in small circles.

A broader variety of epilepsy is known as the general seizure.
