I was recently commissioned by AFC Ajax, the biggest football club from my home country to create a few "Matchday" illustrations for them. Below you will find the first 3 of these illustrations, more might be added later.
"They make us fly"
For their most recent match against Besiktas we decided to use their iconic "Three Little Birds" shirt as focal point of the artwork. Surrounded by three beautiful birds that make the players fly during their matches.
"The Amstergems"
This illustrations focusses on 3 rising stars from Ajax, the title of the illustration was provided by the creative team at Ajax, and it represents the Gems of Amsterdam. Ajax also made a short movie with the same name, this can be found on their Youtube channel.
"Classic Ajax"
Ajax vs. Feyenoord is probably the match in Dutch Football with most history, every years this clash is the most viewed game and its often packed with action. For this illustration we decided to depict the god Ajax in a heroic way as if he had just won a major clash with his rival.
