Launch Album Cover
A concept piece for The Bravery
Assignment
This album cover was for an assignment for my illustration class earlier in the year. The design prompt said that we create an 8x8 concept album cover for a band of our choice. Our main focus on this project was typography, texture, and color depth. I chose to do a simplistic design choice as I feel it's something that is sorely missed in many album covers.
Typography
The type for "Launch" was originally sketched onto graph paper. Later on, I adapted it in illustrator where I then chose to refine it. I do this style of type quite a bit in my free time and I feel that it is a style that I can call my own.
Result
When it was all said and done, I received and A on this project.
