Housing in Tanger-Med Port  _ Academic Work
The proposal is based in the intention of creating spaces for the living of community, as well as all the dwellings required. This type of development is very clearly shown in the arabic medinas. In this kind of urban order, weather and cultural conditions are closely related. Spaces are dominated by gloom to make living more confortable, and all spaces are connected . Including certain order, the proposal is based in the way of connection of all this factors with an architectural net, where activities and relations are mixed up but ruled.

In the medinas we can see this concern for the community and its activities and a predominant set against individualism. It also highlights the constant adaptation to the environment, values that had to be moved to the project.

To achieve this combination of elements, interconnection of spaces, possible patterns that could compose the system, and the posibility to grow or shrink as needed over time are taken into account. Houses born in the ground floor but is not until the first floor in which they are really visible. In this way, most part of the ground floor can be liberated for relations, circulations, activities, ...

The growth is based in the attachment of modular elements which distribute the concatenation of spaces and courtyards.
