Hunger Action:

This is a mock stamp design for Hunger Action Month. September is Hunger Action month, a time when people take a stand against hunger and poverty. You can see my drawn ideas on the project and the steps to create the final stamp results. I went with the boxing glove design to depict a fight with hunger and the winning the prize against it. I also wanted to showcase different skin tones to bring awareness that all people from many backgrounds are effected. This was my first project in using adobe so it was a challenge to learn the tools to create shapes. You can see in my first mock ups the shapes aren't quite connected to each other and I wasn't sure how to depict in the last stamp the defeat of hunger. I ultimately was able to create a trophy that was a glove/apple with a bite taken out so show we've reached the end goal. It was also a challenge to figure out where the lettering would go in my project as it could not go on the outside border. The final design shows the fight and prize as a cohesive piece.
