Uma noiva decadente é mais bonita que uma noiva luxuosa.
The vectors point to the ghosts in a faster and unidentifiable time, because the brightness of the structures disturbs the retina, because the glass looks like sugar and even pointed it strokes the jugular, like a silk tie. The photographs aim to interrupt time by mortifying new and old buildings in the metropolitan region of São Paulo in one bond.
The traces present in the 35mm negative were the drivers for the ghosts to be evident in the photographs of the landscapes and structures. Field research was needed in the city to carry out this work, some territories visited were directly linked to academic research.

Realizing that one of the oldest and most important avenues in the city of São Paulo was going through a process of deterioration and real estate speculation, I felt almost as a primary instinct the need to photograph its decay. Not long ago, Rebouças Avenue was called The Avenue of the Brides because there was a very large concentration of shops for bridal dresses in the region. The avenue was acclaimed as a region of the São Paulo elite, registering the decay of a luxurious place seemed like a sweet fetish to be realized.
Rebouças Avenue was the scene of the journeys of my life for a few years, when I was younger I went through it every day because it was the bus route I took to go to school. Seeing its elements changing is somewhat melancholy and uncanny because when I travel back in time I see the inexhaustible translocation of concrete and the question remains: is the city always full of ruins or is it now that the processes of degradation are intensifying? The iconography carried out had as objective to compose an academic research of Environmental Psychology, to understand the elements present in the avenue was also to understand how people inhabited the ruins.
