Brooklyn Museum LOGO Redesign

Obviously, New York City contains a variety of art, historical, and cultural spots. Furthermore, the sheer amount of museums can boggle the mind. Brooklyn Museum is an inspiring platform that broadens the ways people find themselves, the art world and new creative possibilities.
However, compared with some well-known, and most-visited museums like the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum “lost some of its lusters.”
Research
According to the data of the official guide in NYC, the visitor’s number per year in Brooklyn Museum is obviously less than other museums.
My Strategy
To motivate and attract tourists all over the world and local citizens in New York to visit the Brooklyn Museum, My strategy of promoting the museum primarily divided into two aspects.
1. I attempted to create a campaign to stimulate public attention, especially the residents living in Brooklyn. As a result, I tried to redesign the LOGO connected with the concept of the campaign. Building the atmosphere of the home through the campaign prompts the citizens to recall often and drop by the museum.
2. I add a new slogan, “The Brooklyn Museum is next door,” for following this topic.
My Inspriations
I collected some images of the Brooklyn Museum and analyzed the typical characteristics of the building. The basic shape of the building consists of triangles and rectangles and the primary color is monochrome. Therefore, the LOGO  also is made of these basic elements.
LOGO Structure
After the LOGO is confirmed, I designed a Brand Style Guide with logo lock-ups, color combinations, typography rules, size. Specifications.
Logo Applications
Museum Gift Design
Designing the postcard prompts the citizens to recall often and drop by the museum. Therefore, I choose different types of doors in Brooklyn as the design elements of the inside page, as well as each gate can be opened to increase the funny feelings. Besides, viewers can insert distinctive photos for changing the background of the card. Also, I employ 3D-tech to handle these photos. When the audiences wear the 3D glasses, the 3D visual impact of the pictures gives them immersive experiences.
