Unicorn Pillow, Arts & Crafts - GoldieBlox

I was the lead designer of an Arts & Crafts product line for GoldieBlox with ThenWhat including this kit - the Light Up Unicorn Pillow. With this kit, kids can create their own color-changing, glowing unicorn themed pillow. This arts & crafts project allows kids to use sewing skills and learn about STEM concepts like circuits and LEDs. This kit is a revised version of the DIY Light Up Unicorn Pillow by GoldieBlox and Make It Real.
My work on this product included:
- Designing and prototyping a revised Unicorn Pillow which features the side profile of a unicorn's torso and new materials for the construction of the mane and decorative accents.
- Detailing sourcing specifications for the elements of the revised kit.
- Creating the final dielines for the die-cut fleece pieces and the sewing kit packaging.
- Reviewing samples and providing feedback to the factory in China.
- Developing revised step-by-step instructions for creating the Unicorn Pillow and content for the Hack & Facts cards.
