Ennis Pedestrian Bridge

The contoured landscape absorbs the initial rise of the bridge ramps. Gently rising and spaning above the railway tracks the bridge ramps fall on the eastern side following the curve of the road while preserving a wedge of soft landscaping. A permacrib retaining wall is used on the southern edge of the bridge to retain the ramparts build up. The ramps are seen as landscaped elements and the delicate bridge structure combined with transparent balustrades minimises the impact on the existing stone bridge.
