Video fragment of virtual space, which was created on the basis of the flooded 5th power unit of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant. 3d model is a part of the project in the context of the international project MADATAK, ARTEFACT: CHOrnobyl34, dedicated to the tragedy at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant on April 26, 1986. The third stage of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant consists of the technological configurations of the 5th (the 5th unit of the Chornobyl NPP can be seen from the route to the 1st-2nd stages of the ChNPP) and the 6th unit (for the 6th power unit of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant only a foundation pit was ready), and new cooling systems in the form cooling towers (cooling towers). The construction of the 5th unit of the ChNPP was stopped at a very high degree of readiness of the facility itself. If not for the accident on April 26, 1986 at the 4th block of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant 5, the reactor would have been put into operation in November of the same year. At the end of May 1987, the final decision was made about the complete conservation and shutdown of the construction of the third stage of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
