The Bobbin Project
The Bobbin Project is an interior design solutions start-up in Dubai that has sustainability at its core. Sumithra, its founder, poses questions at every step to understand her clients' needs and transforms spaces, that are efficient, long lasting and safe - for the family and the environment. She breathes new life into existing pieces of furniture by redesigning and repurposing them (through her excellent network of skilled carpenters), and uses materials that are handcrafted and/or free of nasty chemical compounds that are harmful in the long run. She also finds new uses for discarded (but perfectly usable) products like wooden pallets and bobbins.
