Stormy Weather
 Heisler Park, Laguna Beach
In Another Time
This is the famous Victoria Beach Lighthouse which some call “The Pirate Tower”. It stands at 60 feet or 18.288 meters and was built in 1926 for the family of William E Brown along with a house overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Laguna Beach. Ocean breezes blow through the small portals covered by rusting metal grates on the tower's sides with a large door at the structure's base, which is covered in rust, and looking inside reveals a wooden spiral staircase twisting to the ledge above. Since 1940, this tower and property above, with a French Provincial style, has changed hands several times, and was recently owned by Bette Midler. Many local residents forget about this magical tower with a background of Laguna’s Main Beach. If you are able to visit Laguna don't miss the chance to see this iconic structure.
