Alison Cosmetics Logomark Design
The Design Process
First I started with a star shape like. My Thought process was to place A in the star but I did not like the outcome look when scaled down, so I created different shape making a deformed star with the star shape I made first. I was thinking to create A with a Star shape but I have seen potential in just "A" that is Bold Simple, sharp and not as complex as star. This thought process created the "A" symbol. I tried to create one more star shape but I gave up on it as previous variant was looking much more attractive for me and have a good potential to animate. Next step was Typography. In LogoCore brief was marked to do not use any cursive font-face. I have chosen TypoGraphica because it was bold, modern and sharp looking font-face that has good clarity and character.
For the packaging design I have chosen simple but really eye catching holographic film on the lid and on the label, as I thought that logomark does not has to have a single color, rather use a single color for the line of the products with the logo in the product line colors. This decision was made out of assumption that the company could change color of the logo with new line of the products. Why? It's timeless. Logo will never get bored and holographic logo changes color from lighting conditions and light sources. It's really memorable and intriguing, eye catching.
