The artist has been very curious about how the impasto technique in painting works lately, and she thought of this non-representational artwork to be the perfect time to discover what impasto is and gather new ideas that could enhance painting skills. She decided to start with experimenting on the primary colors namely red, yellow and blue to really have a grasp about how colors act in impasto.

The painting was divided into different parts that made the artist attained to have a lot of trials or attempts. She has thought of several ways of strokes, color combinations, rough, smooth and spikey textures, and even circular or thick designs with the use of a palette knife and a paintbrush. Some visible mistakes in the process of making were kept that allows the painting show how the learning process went.

The audience might feel different emotions looking at the painting considering a lot of things can be seen on the painting. This is where the textures that were made where each one surely gives different feeling towards someone which mainly gets the attention of the audience when observing it. The exploration of the artist can also be evident to the viewers since everything about the process of the art can be observed.

At the end, the painting can tell how a lot of paint, patience and control are needed in the impasto technique. It may also relate to how someone’s learning process or growth can have an ability to give an impact to people with the visible mistakes and trials in life to aim the goal of successfully exploring something.
