Concept.
A downed application can result in losing thousands of dollars a minute. Rearview's design had to quickly let engineers know how the entire system was performing as well as their application.

What sets this project apart from my other work here on Behance is that I was also responsible for the visual design for this application.
Ecosystem view.
My approach was to create an initial "ecosystem" view that displays all the applications entered into the Rearview monitoring system that allowed users to quickly determine which application needed their attention.

When the tile is red the application is in a state of alert. Engineers select the application they want to view and are immediately taken to the application monitor dashboard, shown below.
Monitor dashboard with monitor in a state of alert.
From the application monitor dashboard engineers can see which application monitor is in a state of alert. By having all the monitors on one page an engineer can quickly see which monitors are in need of their attention.

If the engineer wants to edit or continue diagnosing an issue they select a monitor to view incident triggers or adjust the monitor.
Monitor, view metrics; state of alert.
Using the graph controls, the engineer can view incidents, jump to any alert in the past, zoom in and out for more or less detail, test metrics and expressions - all designed specifically to the technical engineers’ needs.
Monitor detail, view schedule; all clear state.
