The Project is a part of “Re-defining Barcelona_Design of Public Spaces and Infrastructures” workshop, concerning the @22 District. Transforming 200 industrial hectares in the center of Barcelona in an innovative and productive district destined for the concentration and development of knowledge intensive activities. The strategy for the future of the district is influenced by the strategic role as a metropolitan center of Barcelona urban space.
The project is aimed to create new public facilities without destroying old ones and respecting historical buildings. historical buildings in the district were renewed with their old structures and new functions were added to them. it is aimed to increase the public use in the area more intensively.
