Star Alliance In-airport Digital Experience

Project Description
Star Alliance is one of the world's largest global airline alliances. As one of the leading alliances, they are constantly looking to improve customer experience and invest in a new digital experience to improve the service. They have identified flight layovers as being a major pain point. During layovers, customers are often forced to endure hours of ‘dead time’ in the airport terminal behind the gate.

Project Objectives
Research, prototype and build a digital experience to improve the customer experience during ‘dead time’ between connecting flights at airports.
Color-coded Isometric Map

Each color represents a specific category, for example, when users search for service, all kiosks colored in pink will be highlighted for their convenience

Augmented Reality Navigation

When users point the phone at any paths in the airport, the green path will appear on the screen and navigate them to their desired destination.

Scanning Carry-on items to prevent missing bags

While checked bags are usually labeled, which makes it easier for airlines to locate, carry-on bags are not taken care of. This app allows passengers to scan their carry-on items to prevent missing bags. After scanning, users will have the option to input information about the bag. If users happen to leave their bags somewhere in the airport, they can report it through the app without going through the process of describing the bag and leave their personal information for the staff.
