Crystal Clear Book
In 2020, I had the pleasure of working on an exciting project with Quirk Books, creating illustrations for the beautiful book "Crystal Clear" authored by Jaya Saxena. The book features a collection of sharply observed essays that reflect on and challenge the ideas associated with eleven popular stones, including concepts like unconditional love, happiness, balance, self-care, purity, and more.
As an avid collector of gems and crystals, I was thrilled to be a part of a project that showcased the beauty of these natural wonders. For this project, I used a mixed technique that involved creating 3D models of each crystal and blending them with 2D illustration elements in Adobe Illustrator. It was a challenging but rewarding experience, as each crystal required intricate work to achieve the realistic and authentic look I desired.
The final result of the project was a series of surprisingly detailed and magical illustrations that complemented the book's content perfectly. I'm proud to have been a part of this project and to have contributed to the book's visual appeal.
