Tonight I kicked off my busy All Star Weekend here in Houston and headed out to the Adidas Original Collective store grand opening at Willowbrook Mall that featured appearances by Big Sean, DMC, and the DJ legend himself, DJ Clark Kent. The event itself was invite only and extremely intimate, and probably one of the better organized events I have done since I started SCKNOWS. This retail flagship is a partnership between Footaction x Adidas Originals that is looking to add up to 5 more stores by end of the year to accompany the FIRST store here in Houston. The store, as the name implies is an Adidas Originals exclusive store that features not only Adidas Originals footwear and apparel but the ability to customize some of these items in store. I have always been a fan of Adidas’ customization options so I love the fact that they are instituting this type of model in these new stores.

When I first heard about this event earlier yesterday afternoon I thought it was going to be an event with Big Sean and Bun B but when I arrived around 7:45 I found out that DMC himself would be blessing the opening. Local artists Propain and Yves from The Nice Guys, as well as the infamous Shea Serrano were in attendance as well.
