Ray Bradubury centennial

Some time ago, I made an illustration for the Ray Bradbury centennial. I wanted to make an hommage to some of his Works, while playing on digital techniques, collage and even photography.
Wonders of internet, I sent it the Center For Ray Bradbury Studies at the Indiana University. They  (so very kindly) conacted me and here are the links and a copy of their posts (anda copy of the text).
Welcome to our new monthly series: #FeaturedArtistWednesdays! In this series, we will highlight talented artists who dabble in the muse of Bradbury.

Today’s work comes from Esteban Cánepa, a professional illustrator, storyboard & concept artist from Argentina.

He graduated & taught in Image & Sound Design at the University of Buenos Aires & recently illustrated a science communication book for young readers for the faculty press.

He’s also a comic book artist & works on didactic toy design! "I also enjoy drawing for non profit organizations & human rights promotion pro-bono."

"I’m an avid reader of science & science fiction & a tremendous admirer of Ray Bardbury’s humanistic & poetic works."

"Bradbury once wrote “Grandfather's been dead all these years, but if you lifted my skull, by God, in the convolutions of my brain you'd find the big ridges of his thumbprint”. I feel that way about Bradbury’s influence on me & many others readers around the world."

"On a more personal note, my father loved literature, though not much science fiction & recommended me many books from his neverending bookshelves. He died all too early when I was thirteen, but I feel sort of proud that I at least got to suggest him one science fiction book: THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES. He loved it!"
