The world was shaken by the video of the straw stuck in the nose of a turtle.

People all around the world, including Penang, started becoming more aware to their excessive plastic use, but don't know to actually stop using it.

The infographic above aims to educate Malaysians, especially Penangnites, on how to reduce their plastic-use with easy to follow steps. Avoiding straws and bringing out their own bags are the most famous options.

After surveying Penangnites, reading the statistics and finding out the best ways reduce plastic use, I created the initial version in illustrator before moving it to photoshop to add in shadings and texture, for a more edgy look.

There was a lot of testing behind this through character but as my main target was going to be college and high school students, I found that most people favored a cleaner design with not too much details on the character as to focus on the info in the poster.
