flightLog was a college project that never saw the light of day -- the designs had been completed so I wanted to show them here.

fightLog is a simple application that allows a user to track their flight history and see statistics about their travel history. I took heavy inspiration from websites like my.flightradar24.com.

I wanted this brand to have a fresh and fun feel to it, so that my users would come back time and time again -- and one of the most important things was that this site was mobile friendly, unlike competitors that I've found, so that my users would be able to update flight listings on the go, say while they're at the airport.

Please enjoy this project -- I've added the mobile designs for each screen next to their desktop counterparts
I wanted to create a fresh feel for this brand, with striking colours that went well together, and I think I did that with the blue, green and pink colour scheme of this project. I think the contrast of the green and blue go really well together, and that's why they're the main two colours for this project. While the pink isn't used very often, it is used to add just a pop of colour where it's needed. The font used is Poppins from Google Fonts, it's a geometric sans-serif font that I feel brings a fun quirky feel to the project, but maintains legibility at most sizes, and has a good variety of font weights that I could use to create a hierarchy without using size in places where using size to create an information hierarchy wouldn't work.
Logged out state
When logged out, the user is presented with a pretty simple explanation of what the application does, and the option to sign up, or sign in.
User logged in
The user is greeted with a dashboard of information about their flight history, and an easy way to see the most common statistics about their history. Please note that this project was only going to support flights taken within the UK, IoM & Channel Islands due to time and coding limitations, but the project would've been scoped out to working worldwide given enough time.

Thanks for viewing my flightLog project!
If you liked it, then please let me know, and any feedback on how I could improve is welcome! Thank you 😊
