The Wireframes
The next phase of the project was to create mockups for each page. These mockups would appear almost exactly like the finished pages.
The Mockups
The desktop layout in the homepage changed from a mostly 1-column layout to a 2-column layout in desktop. I thought the 1-column layout was too boring and would involve too images that would be too large in size.
Similarly, the treats desktop page changed from a 2-column layout to a 3-column layout. I made this change because there was enough room at larger sizes to include 3-columns.
Minor changes made to the layout.
The next phase of the project was to actually code the pages. This involved a mobile-first approach. Semantic code was used as well as large font sizes to ensure maximum accessibility.
The Webpages
Slight changes to the nav, and the footer was changed to include contact information. This was because the Client wanted more than just their e-mail address in the footer, they wanted their e-mail and store address included as well.
I opted to not include the "back-to-top" button featured in the mockups because I felt it was unnecessary and took up too much screen space on mobile.
Minor changes made to layout. The family history section was changed to include a colored background to better highlight it and add more variety to the page.
