For this project I was assigned to create a vintage style circus poster.

I used font, ornamentations, texture, and templates from Heritage Type co. nostalgic font and label collection.

I started out bringing in different ornamentations and banners that I thought looked good together and placed them in positions that I thought would work. I then began sketching in what I wanted to draw on the piece. I wanted to show aerial works and drew sketches for such. I worked on lining and coloring those drawings before I then worked on bringing in and changing up a template from Heritage Type CO. I took the color scheme depicted there and continued it into the rest of my piece before adding a border and changing all my filler text with matching and complimenting fonts. I used Signmaster and Signmaster Pro. I added a texture on burn to create a more vintage look and used a gradient to fade a look of yellowed paper.
