These images were initially inspired by Isaac Stewart's glyph images for the Stormlight Archive, but as my brain went on automatic pilot to complete them, I realized I was drawing upon other kinds of influences--Asian, Native American, Meso-American, and Celtic, I think.  I can't say that I know exactly what pieces from those cultures have found their way into this experiment, but I can say that I'm really having a great time exploring this method of illustration.
