PRZEDMECZ (eng. PRE-MATCH) is a family of typefaces based on the wonderful typographic football posters that could be found on Polish streets in the 1920s and 1930s. I decided to digitize three, in my opinion, most interesting set of letters that appeared on posters announcing sports events.
In order to preserve the old atmosphere, I decided to leave the letters in the upper-case form, while designing numbers and additional characters. Each font is available in a clean and slightly damaged version. The next step will be to digitize the dingbats appearing on old football posters.
The name and symbols of the font refer to the information about the pre-game, in which the second (reserve) teams were most often present.
