CarbonPulse - Concept Redesign
CarbonPulse is an online, subscription-based B2B service dedicated to providing in-depth news and intelligence about carbon pricing initiatives and climate change policies around the world. Founded by 3 ex-Reuters/Point Carbon journalists, they are considered as leaders in their sector and have moved markets and informed policy development worldwide. After coming across their website and identity, I felt they needed a do-over.
I also took a stab at their website. My main focus was on improving the overall look and feel, to make it match their values and positioning - while creating more emphasis on the "Register" part to generate more conversion.
While I tried to keep a condensed approach specific to media websites, I also tried to bring in more space by refining its use. A side bar for navigation was perfect, because users spend more time scrolling that navigating, hence you can focus on the content.
I also reduced the overall contrast and picked a better suited typeface to avoid eyestrain.
