Brand identity project for the city of Boston. 

Boston is a vibrant and diverse city, a meeting place for people from all over the world that enhances creativity and business projects. Boston is a city that integrates, inspires and motivates people to do things, a global and connected capital that invites people to connect with others. Boston is a creative city, full of art and culture. 
Boston is an open city, a meeting place, a welcoming city.
Logo
The logo aims to contribute to its recognition as a city that makes you feel at home. 
The O’s open in this sense, to represent the opening of the city and recall the shape of two hands ready to welcome.
The icons
More than a brand, the project constructs and proposes an iconographic system, a flexible and open format, which is created and transmitted collectively and which therefore offers a very solid basis for its communication.
The purpose is to build a line of communication of the city, both outside and among its inhabitants, starting from the need to offer a common language that can be understood and used not only by English-speakers but also by those who do not speak English, to create cohesion among its citizens. It is a graphic translation of its welcoming trait to allow its citizens to communicate through a visual and universal language. A contemporary and international system, youthful and participatory, dynamic, interactive and flexible, easily transferable to all formats and media.
The style refers to freehand writing, to give a more informal and friendly air to the communications.
The different icons that make up the iconographic system come together to create phrases. In series of three icons they generate a game style rebus both for the communication between the city and its citizens as well as to allow people to use this system to communicate with each other, imagining an easy implementation of the same system on social networks.
