My Grandpa Likes to Drive (a children's book)

My Grandpa Likes to Drive is a children's book about the author's father, written for her children and nephews. I was approached to illustrate and design the book. The last page shows the children dreaming about what their grandpa will drive next, so I decided to carry that dream-motif through the rest of the book. Each page's illustration has an irregular boundary, changing it's relationship to the page.
 
I used Derwent Inktense pencils for the illustrations to combine watercolor painting and drawing. After each was dry, I went back in with charcoal pencil to outline and provide definition. The text is set in Musee Alt.
