AARP Block Party is an AARP Events nationwide initiative to bring AARP into local communities to connect with members and bring awareness to non members of AARP programs. 

As lead designer I worked closely with the events team on activations and would design new activations that were tailored to the community and lead the design for the activations that would travel nationwide. I also designed the look and branding for the AARP block party and worked with the vendor on the new structure design that would feature a rotating dynamic A that would serve as a landmark during local festivals. 

For Atlanta we created a wall where the community could learn what AARP was doing in their community while also giving them a chance to write how they gave back to their community. They could also take a magnet to reinforce ways to give back. 

Other activations included a memory match game that linked icons to different AARP programs, a vending machine, an instagram wall that reinforced aarp branding and a members area to celebrate our members with a special gift.
