Pony Footwear Design
This project was to design a lifestyle racer shoe, with a sheetstock rubber bottom to avoid mold costs. The Pony "Chevron" was given a nylon webbing treatment through a D ring. The D ring was fastened to a synthetic material that wrapped under the shoe and around the opposite side to form the toecap. The first round sample had the nylon webbing chevron as a functional lace element for a great fit. Final sample had this feature removed due to the shoe not needing performance elements that increased cost and labor.
