For this brief we where tasked with creating a video based on an iconic piece of speech, using type and motion graphics that add to the narrative of the audio piece. I decided to use a piece of speech written for the 2012 London Olympics advert by Nike, the text is as follows: “There are no grand celebrations here. No speeches. No bright lights. But there are great athletes. Somehow we’ve come to believe that greatness is reserved for the chosen few, for the superstars. The truth is greatness is for all of us.” To animate this speech I decided on a typographic style that didn’t take away from the message that the text is trying to convey.
