2019, a friend of mine comes to me for a new movie-poster project. It was for the the horrormovie Jacobs Ladder and i was in. Jacobs Ladder is one of my favorites from the 90ies. – Back in this time, my friends and i was playing the swedish roleplaying game called KULT and we were fans of Stephen King and Clive Barker content. On one afternoon a friend comes by and bring us a VHS Cassette, it was the movie Jacobs Ladder. We really don't know what this movie will be.
On this day we saw it. It was totally crazy, a very dark thriller with horror elements. Personally i think the movie tells more than only the story about the veterans, its a movie about salvation. The fight between good and evil about the souls in the story.
So i came to the idea to use the old picture of Stairway to Heaven from the great artist Gustave Doré.

After my first scribbles, i made a clean version. I wanted also the mood of the Vietnam content.
