It’s been a long time since I made any new masks but Covid19 made it easier to mix death and masks in the same brief.
Now that October is just around the corner, I’m really happy to share my latest project with all of you guys.
We’re living in a crazy moment when every single day we are faced with death and masks.
Inspired by the Mexican tradition of Día de los Muertos I have renovated the ideas of calacas (skull) masks and La Calavera Catrina (The Elegant Skull) placing them within the context of the 2020 pandemic.
It's a time when even the dead have to be aware, prepare and wear a mask to celebrate the day.
