In 2019 I gave a talk on Creativity to some Marketing folks. The heart of the session centered on making hospitable assets. Because there were only about 40 people present, I gave a handout to everyone in attendance. The handout was a paper doll that they could take with them and place in their workspace.
The paper doll had three interchangeable outfits that underscored the three points of my presentation.
My time working in educational publishing taught me that different stimuli attached to one set of facts helps recollection of those facts. Three visual outfits reinforce three areas of creative focus. Below is a copy of the handout.
The outfits provided a visual impression of the content, but if the hearer needed analytical reinforcement, I printed a textual summary on the back of the outfits.
The talk was a success and the audience took a hospitable asset with them.
