Bandbreite provides detailed information about every official watch band ever released, including characteristics such as color, release date, model number, and price. Options to create a wishlist and to track a personal collection —with unique stats and insights included— make this beautifully designed app the perfect companion for every watch band collector, beginner to pro.
The app is made entirely in SwiftUI and iOS 14 is required.
Bands. And more bands. The app catalog includes every official watch band ever released since April 2015 by Apple and its official partners. Over 420 bands are organized by band type and color, or color group. We also added some exclusive bands to the catalog, which were never available to the public, but are widely available online on private markets, like the first Pride band and bands from the "Close Your Rings"-challenges.
Collection. Some users spend a considerable amount of time and effort collecting the bands. Bandbreite provides an easy way to create a personal collection in the app, and keeps track of the bands the user already owns.
Stats and Insights. Users can get detailed stats and insights about their collection, learn which band types and which colors they prefer most. The charts, created on the device and never shared with us, can inspire to try new colors and to diversify the collection, or just prove the choices were the right ones.
Wishlist. There‘s always that one band missing, right? Bands can be added to a wishlist, which gives every user the best overview of what to look for next.
Curated collections. While the user's collection is the most personal, a lot of bands can be arranged in groups. Our curated collections show band groups like "Pride Edition", or "Close Your Rings", and can be used to get informed, inspired, or to see which bands fit well together. An upcoming collection will show all bands which are available bundled with a watch only and often become the most desired, but also hard to get bands for a collector.
A user can choose between several app icons, a choice as personal as their watch band. A homescreen widget and sticker pack for messages are the finishing touch and complete the app.

About the team behind "Bandbreite"
The app is a result of a collaboration between Apple Watch band collectors, a passionate designer (me!), and talented software engineers from three different countries. The team members never met before in person, but their passion for Apple Watch bands and the excitement about making the idea of an app happen has brought them together.
