Though the text was added to the following image as an afterthought, the original intent with this assignment had been to create various landmarks of a city in order to assist a potential onlooker in identifying the city at hand. Since I have an immense interest in the culture of large cities around the country, I decided to pursue Los Angeles as a unifying theme. In this regard, I created the radial gradient landscape as a means to convey the typical warm lighting one might see at sunset on the West coast, with the long shadows of buildings lending further credence to the time of day. Furthermore, I kept the complexity of the ground relatively simple to avoid detracting the eye from the vectors on top of it.
