I started this project by creating a background by making a brush out the image and placing the brush in different colors. I put a yellow brush of the background then I lowered the opacity a little and placed a black brush on top.
I then made a brush out of the tree and placed in brown and then in black on top. I changed the tree to hard-light. I then made a brush out of the lantern and put the vivid light filter on it. After I made a brush out of the fireflies and placed them around the lantern. I changed the color of some fireflies and rotated the fireflies brush.
After I made a brush of the trees in the background and placed it behind everything. I also changed the opacity of the original background so you can see the trees. I got a soft black brush and made the outside of my project dark so the lantern is the main focus. I then created a glow in the lantern by using gaussian blur and stretching out the brush to create light. I then flatten my image and turn it into a JPEG.
For my second project I started by creating a brush for the tree branch and placing it in brown and black at a lower opacity on top of it. I then created a brush for the cocoon and placed it in black hanging on the branch.
Then I created a butterfly brush and placed is on the cocoon in different shades of blue. I also went over the cocoon to make it darker. I also created a flower brush that I placed on the tree branch. I put purple and pink flowers on the branch.
Lastly I created a brush of a pile of leaves to put in the background. I change the filter on the background to make it pop. I also added a little bit more flowers. I also made the branch and cocoon darker so it more noticeable. I then flatten my image and saved it as a JPEG.
I started my project by creating a brush of the sky and placing that brush in different colors in the background. Then I created a brush of the Reunion Tower in downtown Dallas and placed that on top of the sky brush.
Then I changed the filter to difference on the sky, so it made the sky blue. I then added a black shadow on the left side of the project to give it dimension. After I created a brush of the leaves and placed them in different colors in the sky.
Lastly I changed the filter on the leaves to color dodge so the leaves would be more transparent. Then I flatten the image and saved it as a JPEG.
