Concept typography in both static and motion-based forms for the BBC One drama 'The Cry' starring Jenna Coleman.
Working with motion designer David Beattie at D8 in Glasgow, we created a series of typographic forms using simple stencils, water and ink, then agitated them to create titles that feel tense and raw.
A single slow motion shot of series lead Jenna Coleman was used as a backdrop to convey the character's world crashing around her. A combination of fragments, smashed glass, particles and smoke are slowly added alongside the main typography.
