DRAWMI is a kids toy concept of providing variety and range in how children can approach different body shapes and tones. DRAWMI gives children the chance to see themselves, their friends, or their family in their everyday toys.

From it’s inception – a kid could choose a body type (S, M, L, XL) and skin tone (light, medium, dark, vitiligo). Arms and legs would be malleable, and toy would be able to sit straight, on edge, or stand.

Our favorite part about the toy is that it can be drawn directly on with the provided washable markers that allows kids to further customize their toys clothing, facial expressions and hair.

The font used for the project is Gimbo Black Soft – is a display font that is strong, playful, and compact. I wanted something that would allow for a tight crop, was bold, legible, but just soft enough around the edges to be approachable for kids and parents.

All type, lighting, and modeling and concept done by myself
(Ben Harthun) in Cinema 4D and Adobe Illustrator (with the exception of the crutch and shoes).

Special Thanks to Brand Knew for the opportunity.
