Health education with a spring in its step

The NSW Health WSLHD Health Promotion Team engaged Handle Branding to design a creative resources campaign surrounding Library Health Month – ‘Spring into Health’. With widespread changes to everyday lifestyle patterns due to the impact of COVID-19, promoting healthy living and eating behaviours has become increasingly prevalent.

Building off the appeal of superheroes, the concept of Captain Carrot as an energetic, lively and fun kid’s mascot took shape. Vibrant colours and clear practical messages are supported by a range of positive imagery and diverse illustrations.

Our work included; logo design, icons, patterns, mascot, branding guidelines, flyers, posters, web banners, email graphics, social media tiles, colouring in activity and roll up banners.

This campaign will be active during September 2020 across the Western Sydney Local Health District working in tandem with 25 libraries that will come together to promote healthy eating and active living behaviours to their community.
