I have always had an interest in water photography.  The housings for cameras are pretty pricey so I never really was able to fully get into it until the GoPro came out.  I have been bodyboarding since I was about 13 years old and have always had a love for the ocean.  Unfortunately we don't live near the clearest water so I had to change my view on my project.  I went to the next best thing and that was various pools.  There has always been something about water photography that has caught my eye.  Photographers like Clark Little, Zak Noyle, and Sarah Lee, to name a few, have inspired me to step out of the ordinary and try something new.  This projevt was put together last minute with the help of some of my friends.  each pool had its own unique look to it, and depending on the time of day and the angle, each photo turned out a bit different.  I wasn't able to rent out a water housing for my professional grade cameras but used the next best thing and that was my GoPro.  This camera is small but definitely packs a punch and takes some amazing photographs.  The joy of using it is that you really can't see the photographs on the GoPro until you hoot it up to the computer.  It has the similar feeling of using an old film camera.  I photographed on 4 different days in 4 different pools and was able to narrow the photos down to the ones you see displayed here.  I took on the theme of "Pool Party" as I wanted it to seem like there was a party going on underwater.  I had each person wear full clothes and use various props.  Each time we went under we weren't sure how each pose would look, but it definitely was a fun experience and seemed to tun our pretty rad.
