An Informative Guide on Litigation for Domestic Violence Litigation is a process and a service meant to cater to litigants involved in a lawsuit in an equitable manner without any discrimination. However, the efficiency of the legal systems in facilitating access to justice especially to women has been a question of concern. Women are one of the most vulnerable segments of society as they are subject to injustice due to the practice of gender inequality in various forms, resulting in control, denial of rights and violence ranging from verbal abuse to extreme forms such as rape, dis-figuration and murder. The project looks at the barriers and challenges that women face which limits their access to the legal systems. Therefore, the project proposed to design an informative guide which could address these barriers to help increase awareness and empower the vulnerable women on the legal provisions and help them navigate the legal system more easily for cases of domestic violence.
