Ujima is a non-profit pay-what-you-can service provider that provides equitable access to food, education, and employment. They host [ComeUnity] Tables, virtual cooking classes, and cook meals for the St. Louis community. Through these efforts they host paid learning experiences for St. Louis Area high school and college students, focusing on culinary and agriculture projects. Ujima is a labor of love, the name itself originating from the third principle of Kwanzaa: “collective work and responsibility.”

The logo is developed by hand with care, making sure to keep letterforms rough and organic. The ‘J’ and ‘I’ letterforms represent the work of rooting, both in agriculture and with community.
